To encourage Taiwan’s presence in the global market, Google Taiwan has today launched its incubator program, cooperating with Taiwan’s National Development Council, the startup accelerator AppWorks and National Taiwan University’s Corporate Accelerator Program. As a part of Google’s 4-year-old Intelligent Taiwan program, the new incubator program will see Google sharing its operation and industry-related experiences with Taiwan’s startup scene, assisting them in exploring the global market.

Google has been assisting startups throughout Asia Pacific through various programs, including its accelerator Google for Startups in Southeast Asia, Japan and India, and the Google Campus in Japan and South Korea. Since 2018, Google has accelerated more than 600 startups in the Asia Pacific region, and raised more than 1 billion USD for them through funding rounds.

According to Tina Lin, Google Taiwan’s Managing Director, Taiwan’s rich talent pool has given birth to many startups. Google hopes to develop these startups’ potentials and expand their reach beyond Taiwan.
